How to use a Drone Learning how to fly a drone is super amazing but let’s starts with understanding the basics!
Getting Started: Read the manual: Every drone is different so learn what each button does before flying. Charge the batteries: Always make sure it’s fully charged.
Find a safe open space: This could be a park or a field away from people, trees, and buildings to minimize the risk of accidents.
Basic Flying Steps 1. Take off slowly -This will help you to get used to the controls. 2. Hover - Practice keeping your drone steady in the air. 3. Move in all directions - Forward, backward, left, right. 4. Land gently - Use the controls or auto-landing feature. 5. Review your flight - Check your footage or photos!
Flying drones is awesome, but safety comes first! 1. Always fly below 400ft. 2. Never fly near Airports or restricted areas. 3. Always keep your drone in sight. 4. Avoid flying in bad weather such strong wind, rain or fog 5. Respect people’s privacy and never record without permission. 6. Licenses Needed to Become a Drone Pilot (Kenya) Every country has their own license requirements. Contact us to get for your country. The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) regulates drone use. You must be at least 18 years old to apply for a license If you are under 18 you can get a hobbyist license You need to train at a KCAA- approved Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO). After training, you get a Remote Pilot License (RPL). For commercial drone flying, you’ll also need registration and operation authorization.
